We are excited to release the next poster in our feature Vincent Price series, The Abominable Dr. Phibes by Matt Ryan Tobin!
Dr. Phibes is one of the most iconic roles of the actor's career and Matt Ryan Tobin's design is an original and unique take on the horror classic!
The artist had the following to say about the movie and poster inspiration:
"The Abominable Dr. Phibes is a such an interesting film and one that took me far too long to finally see. I really felt inspired by the overall style and visuals of the film. The set design is amazing. One scene specifically that really stuck with me was Phibes' post-murder ritual. The torching of the faces off of wax busts of his victims; leaving a hole where a visage once was. I thought spinning it around to reflect Phibes would be such great symbolism for who he once was, and what he tragically became."
