Errol McCarthy
Errol McCarthy was born in Los Angeles, but grew up in Billings, Montana. Errol became the school cartoonist and study hall was all about drawing airplanes.and cars.
A short stint in the Air Force convinced Errol that he was not the military type; art school would be a better fit. He went back to Los Angeles to attend Art Center school.
Errol received a Master’s degree followed with a thesis on the influence of underground “comix” on art. Teaching art followed before a stint at Mattel doing action figures like He-Man and Big Jim. The artist's work on the Masters Of The Universe is legendary. He is known for his cardback art with the vintage 1980s MOTU toy line. Errol is one of jut a few artists that helped define the amazing imagery of the MOTU brand!
