Emiliano Santalucia

Emiliano Santalucia started his professional illustration career as the lead penciler on the 2002 Masters of the Universe comic book, and then moved on to G.I.Joe and Transformers comic books.

Among the various illustration jobs, he created artwork and design for a large number of classic cartoon DVDs including all the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra animated series, Flash Gordon, The Real Ghostbuster and Dungeons & Dragons.

He created the illustrations of the MOTU mini-statues for the Four Horsemen Studios and NECA that was used on the packaging and advertising.


During the first years of the Masters of the Universe Classic series, he developed a series of concept and designs for the Four Horsemen, both officially and unofficially, many of which have been incorporated in the Mattel toys.


Starting in 2008, he began collaborating with Hasbro as a freelance concept designer, working on all of their major brands, including Star Wars, Iron Man, Avengers, Spider Man, Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony, B-Daman, Nerf, Micronauts and others.

He was involved in the development of many products, line concepts, and animated series like Transformers Prime and Transformers Robots in Disguise.

As concept artist, he created the previsualization art for Transformers movie 3, 4, 5, Bumblebee and he continues working on upcoming movies for Hasbro Studios.


The majority of toy designs assignments for Hasbro revolve around the Transformers brand. He worked on all the lines and concepts: Movie toys, Bot Shots, Construct-Bots, Combiner Wars, Titans Return, Generations and more.


For Pop Culture Shock Collectibles, he designed and assisted with art direction, on their line of Filmation MOTU statues, and Trasnfomers statues.


Recently, has created packaging for the vintage styled MOTU figures for Super7 and designs for the Mondo Masters of the Universe ⅙ figures.


Santalucia is also the president of The Power and The Honor Foundation, a no-profit organization which mission is to collect, archive, preserve and share Masters of the Universe and Princess of Power artwork.
